Real Life Style #30 // #Throwback Thursday

If you remember my post from last week, you’ll recall my #ThrowbackThursday challenge with, if you don’t remember, check it out here before the big reveal!

I’ll wait.

SO! I went with one of Rachel’s more timeless looks – little black dress over a white button down. I love this look, because – yes, it is a throwback, but it still looks modern enough to be stylish today!

I’m smiling because I’m outside without a jacket on (!!!!) and also, I was probably singing the Friends theme song over and over in my head.

Real Life Style #29 // Gingham & Pearls

Disclaimer: This post is a throw-back to a few months ago when the weather was slightly warmer. Fun fact: these steps happen to be the steps of the birthplace of Theodore Roosevelt. History!

OK, on to the outfit! I love this look. I love it because it looks polished and classy, but it’s still super comfy.

It’s pretty simple, pair a soft wash button down with a full skirt (make sure the skirt has pockets. Pockets are key), add some killer accessories and you’re good to go.

This skirt  (which PS, is from H&M! Here’s a similar one in-stock now!) has a more casual feel because of the woven texture, but you can still dress it up with some glam accessories.

Real Life Style #28 // Fall Uniform

I’m really not kidding when I say this is my fall uniform. I’ve been wearing some combination of jeans, boots, a button down and a blazer (or a sweater – sometimes both!) just about everyday this season. It’s simple but still cute, don’t think I’m going to get sick of it anytime soon!

Do you have a go-to look for fall?

Real Life Style #27

Well, it’s been a while hasn’t it? I’m excited to be getting back to Real Life Style posts – and I thought my return to the personal style game would be a great time to share a little bit of my fashion philosophy.

I love a good casual look {even for work!}. Jeans and flats are everyday staples – but that doesn’t mean I don’t like to look polished and well put together. I also like to keep things pretty simple, I wear a lot of classic pieces mixed with a few more trendy items. And when I really love something I hold on to it for a long time.

Today’s look is a perfect example! Jeans, a white button down, and a sweater – dressed up with a statement necklace and paired with loafers and a vintage bag that I’ve had forever!!

Real Life Style #26

Spring is a fickle, fickle season. It teases you with moments of sun and warmth and the pummels you with chilly rain. Spring makes it impossible to plan outfits more than an hour in advance…
While it is still too chilly to wear sun dresses, I still like to keep things playful – a little pattern mixing is always fun…

Real Life Style #23 // Role Reversal

Oh lookie! We’ve got a guest star in today’s Real Life Style post – my gorgeous sister, Kelsey Combe, who’s usually the one BEHIND the lens. But, since she’ll be hitting some shows with me {and a few with Erin for Apartment 34!} I thought we’d give her a little love on the blog.
Plus she has awesome polka-dot shoes.

I’m so excited about this post – the star of which is the fab Riva bag by Kelly Moore. I’ve long been searching for a cute, compact camera bag that I can tote to events {including fashion shows!} This chic little bag totally fits the bill. It’s stylish, light and it fits my camera and 2 lenses {plus has pockets for other essentials.} Yay! Check out all of Kelly Moore’s bags here
Can’t wait to give it a run this Fashion Week!
