Snow Storms + Spring Collections

So it’s snowing in NYC. Yes that’s right. Snowing. Full on winter-storm-warning-blizzard going on out there. I’m cuddled up on my couch watching Halloween movies and getting lost in the lovely world of Katie Ermilio’s Spring collection. I’m experiencing some seasonal confusion.
Miss Ermilio’s collection however is not confusing. It is gorgeous. My obsession continues. Can I please own every piece?

A Glitter Obsession

Just a little bit of golden glam for your Sunday evening. I am OBSESSED with this dress (and so sad that it is sold out… eagerly awaiting the back-in-stock email to arrive from ModCloth…. i hope i hope i hope!) Keep the accessories simple with this stunner – she does all the work for you.

On My Honor…

…I will try to dress impossibly chicly every single day. And Honor’s S/S 2012 RTW collection certainly provides a few valuable lessons in chicness.

Color 101 With Elie Saab

We all know the basics of color, right? Here’s a reminder from Elie Saab:

Brilliant indigo sequins…

Plus flowing yellow chiffon
Equals glittery green glamour.

Let’s Dance

I’m totally crushing on pink lately. I have a love/hate relationship with the color. It’s either in or out in my book and right now it is in again. In in in!

Pairs Runways for the Springtime

More blue, yellow, and red – this time with tulips! Roland Mouret’s Spring 2012 collection brings the pretty back to dresses. They’re simple and sophisticated, and a little vintage – but not in a cheesy way. In a chic Parisian-springtime-stroll-in-the-park way. I’d like to look like that everyday. Seriously.

NYFW – Variations on a Theme

So, OK – I’m playing a little catch up here, it seems I’m still stuck in New York even though Fashion has moved on to London, Milan and is now arriving in Paris. But hey, let’s talk NYFW and the parade of primary colors that made their way down the runways…

I promise to move on the other parts of the world soon. 😉

Fall Wardrobe Refresh

It is OFFICIALLY Fall now. This means a few things.
#1 – Cooler weather (right? RIGHT?)
#2 – Post-Season baseball (of course, for me and Kelsey that means going to see Moneyball and crying…)
#3 – Time for a wardrobe refresh!! Just add a few key pieces to get your closet ready for the new season… here’s what I’m coveting for fall…

2nd Row: H&M: Vest and Blouse; Bright Pencil Skirt (for color-blocking, you know!); Black Cropped Slacks
4th Row: Red Blazer (or maybe hot pink instead?); Duffle Cape; Boots (Loeffler Randall – I’m in love with these. For real.) Glitter Heels.

What’s on your fall shopping list?

Time Turner

I’m not sure if Stacey Bendet’s S/S 12 collection for Alice + Olivia belongs in the 40s the 50s or the 60s…. and for some reason, I don’t really care.Whichever decade we’re in – it’s fabulous.
