How to Dress // Margot Robbie

I’ve always really liked Sundance, not because of the films, but because it’s a great opportunity for spotting celeb’s winter style. It’s nice to see the non-red-capet, non-LA winter looks that people put together!

Exhibit A: Margot Robbie. Margot’s style tends to be classic, with an edge. She’s a little bit of a fashion risk taker (jumpsuit on the red carpet, that high slit, mixing prints) but she never crosses the line into crazy.

This ensemble at Sundance is a great example. It’s a classic look: sweater and a button down. But the sweater is slightly cropped, her collar is slightly oversized AND she pairs them with leather legging and over the knee boots. Classic, with an edge. I love it.

Princess Lessons // Coats V2

Ok I admit it – I’ve done this post before. However – that was a while ago, and in the time that has passed since HRH has worn many additional chic coats. So I figured it was high time for Queen of Coats, V2.

I have serious closet envy. It’s not even that she has this many amazing coats – do you know how much room coats take up? I could never fit that many in my tiny apartment – even if I used all available space. She must have an entire wing at Kensington Palace dedicated solely to coat storage.

Here are just a few of my top selections from the  Kate Middleton coat collection – which are your favorites?

Princess Lessons

Now that we are in full-on winter chill mode,  it’s time to do a little coat shopping. And who better to draw inspiration from than HRH The Duchess of Cambridge? She knows how to pick the most flattering winter wear, always appearing in ladylike numbers that chinch at the waist.
Here are a few Kate style coats to keep you warm & chic this winter.

Real Life Style #9 – Snow Day!

There are few things in life more thrilling than waking up to a snow covered city. Everything is so peaceful and white {for a few hours at least.} Kelsey and I didn’t want to miss out on a snow day photo shoot so we bundled up and headed out to an unplowed street. brrrrr!!

Staycation Style

I’m lucky enough to have this week off from work – and with no where to go I am enjoying my very own New York City staycation!
The first day was pretty good, {I forgot to take a nap… but other than that…} I’ve been sitting around playing with my sister’s new puppy {YES PUPPY!} and day-dreaming about casual, chic winter staycation attire… doesn’t get much better than that.

Winter Winter Winter

I’ll admit it, there are many magical things about winter, but I always struggle when it shows up. The bitter cold of the East Coast seriously messes with my style. I don’t want to leave the apartment in anything besides my huge down jacket and snow boots… with sweat-pants and ear muffs. A big fuzzy blanket would be nice too. Just to top off that awesome look.

Maybe a nice pair of red tights will help?

Happy Winter Solstice. Did you stay up to see the eclipse last night?
